BATHORY - Sinnbild und Pioniere des Black Metal, Wegbereiter des Viking Metal! Kaum eine andere Band hat die Metalszene derart maßgeblich beeinflusst wie dieses Ein-Mann-Projekt von Thomas „Quorthon“ Forsberg, der leider 2004 zu früh von uns gegangen ist. Ohne auch nur ein einziges Mal live aufzutreten hat er es doch geschafft gleich zwei Musikstile zu erschaffen.
Die ersten selbst produzierten Platten stellten den Beginn des Black Metal dar, später besann er sich auf seine Wurzeln und verarbeitete den Mythos um die nordischen Götter und Wikinger, was sich
in atmosphärischer, eher doomiger Musik wiederspiegelte. Der sogenannte Viking Metal war erschaffen!
Auf genau diese Viking-Phase legen die Jungs von BLOOD FIRE DEATH ihr Hauptaugenmerk. Mit fetten Keyboardsounds, akustischen Gitarren und Chorgesängen werden die Werke BATHORYs originalgetreu
zelebriert. Wer die ganzen Hymnen aus den „Hammerheart“, „Twilight of the Gods“ oder „Blood on Ice“- Scheiben live erleben will darf sich einen „Evening with Bathory“ nicht entgehen lassen!

BATHORY - Icons of Black Metal, pioneers of Viking Metal! Hardly any other band has influenced the metal scene as significantly as this one-man project of Thomas "Quorthon" Forsberg, who
unfortunately passed away too early in 2004. Without performing live even once he managed to create two styles of music.
The first self-produced records were the beginning of Black Metal, while he later remembered his roots and focused on the myth around the Nordic gods and Vikings, which was reflected in
atmospheric, rather doomy music. The so-called Viking Metal was born!
The guys of BLOOD FIRE DEATH put their main focus on Bathory's viking era. The songs are presented by using fat and organic keyboard sounds, acoustic guitars and vocal arrangements, true to the
original compositions. If you want to experience all the significant songs from the "Hammerheart", "Twilight of the Gods" or "Blood on Ice" records live, you shouldn't miss an "Evening with
Bathory"!
